So you were wondering when will this factor called Global Recession end and whether your country has been affected by the recession

What I am particulary surprised about is the inclusion of USA at the 13th spot. It has been the front runner for the recession due to its global influence, yet it managed to end up at the 13th position in the recession proof countries. That's interestng!

Stanley Works Layoffs Job Cut: fires 2000 employees, closes 3 plants

The economic crisis is hitting all sectors. Stanley Works, a tool maker company has decided to go for layoffs - around 2000 employees will be fired by the company. Not only that, 3 plants will also be closed down by the company.

How many employees will be fired by Stanley Works layoffs?
Around 2000 employees will be asked to leave their jobs - this makes 10% of its total employee strength.

How many manufacturing plants will be closed by Stanley Works ?
Three manufacturing plants will be closed by the company.

What are the reasons for the Stanley Works layoffs?
The company is quoting the reasons of weakness in its construction and industrial segments and the effect of a stronger dollar.

Any specific class of segment of employees affected in Stanley Works layoffs?
Majority of them will be production jobs as the company is closing on some plants. Also, it will involve job cuts in the management.

Fiat Layoffs Job Cut: fires 50000 employees temporarily

The economic crisis is hitting all sectors. Fiat, the famous car manufacturing company, has decided to go for period based layoffs - around 50,000 employees will be asked by the company to sit at home for an extended period during christmas and New Year.

It i for the the first time that the fiat group has decided to shut down majority of its Plants in italy for almost a month and force the employees for an extended period of leaves.

Around 50,000 employees are expected to be affected by the closure and leaves.

Around 14 plants of Fiat's 20 Italian plants will be shut down

Around 80,000 is the total employee headcount in Italy.
