BMC Software Layoffs Job Cut: layoff 350 employees

As per the news, BMC Software is going for a massive layoffs or job cuts. The company is in the business of making Business Softwares, and since the entire global markets and businesses are suffering from the downturn, who would like to buy new business softwares.

When will the BMC Software Layoffs happen?
The layoffs are expected this month in December 2008.

How many employees will be affected in the BMC Software Layoffs?
Areound 350 employees will be fired from their jobs. That will be around 6% of its entire workforce.

Which business units will be affected in the BMC Software Layoffs?
The job cuts will be made in all business units and all corporate departments and at all geographical regions. That will mean that even offshore centers like Pune in India may not be spared from BMC Layoffs.

What are the financial results of BMC Software?
BMC said it expects to record $18 million to $23 million in layoff-related charges in the third and fourth quarters of fiscal 2009.
As of March 31, BMC employed approximately 5,800 full-time workers, according to a separate SEC filing.
